Last week Elle's Studio released their new line of Halloween/Thankful/Fall tags called Spooky Tales and yesterday the October Design Team Gallery went live to show off what our team created with these fun tags. Today I am going to show you my projects up close and personal
My first layout is of photos from a few years ago. I have lots of Halloween pictures but I always get behind on scrapping them. This layout is about the Halloween party we held at the After School Program I used to work at.
This layout was really fun to create! I went a little silly with the googly eyes. I had some HUGE googly eyes that were the same size as the large dots on the background paper so I attached a few of them there, and also added some more eyes to 'O' in the 'Halloween' title and on the pull-out journaling spot.
I added a few layers of black tulle under the layers of paper to give it some spookiness, dimension and texture.
a few circle tags from Spooky Tales Tidbits...
Happy Halloween tag from the Spooky Tales Pennants...
the large 'Halloween' tag from Spooky Tales Large Journaling tags...
and the 'these are the details' tag from Spooky Tales 3x4 Note Tags.
For my second layout I went with more of a fall theme. These pics are of my son from last fall. He loved the great big pumpkins!
The papers in the Simple Stories Harvest Lane collection were perfect for this layout. I love the homey feel they have and I liked that the one paper kind of looked like a quilt and Sully is sitting on a quilt in the photos.
I layered one of Elle's tags (orange chevron) with a manila tag and some of the Harvest lane stickers to create my title block.
an Elle's tag from Spooky Tales Thankful Pennants for the date...
I took the sticker from the Harvest Lane sticker sheet and altered it for this page. I cut a small circle out of burlap and put it on the sticker and then layered one of the Spooky Tales Tidbits on top.
My final project was the one I shared a sneak peak of during our hop last week...
I made a dry erase frame! Did you know that you can write on glass with dry erase markers?! Thank you Pinterest for that little tip.
I thought it would be nice to have a frame for a Thanksgiving decoration where you could write on it what you are thankful for that year.
The best part is, it is reusable! You could keep it up all year round to remind you and your family to be thankful, or you can just bring it out each Thanksgiving and change what you write on it...
you could even add the date!
And here is what it looks like when it is blank.
To make this I just simply attached one of the Large Journaling Tags onto some burlap and added a few of the Spooky Tales Pennants. Then I slipped it into the frame. The flower sticker embellishments are actually on top of the glass so that it wouldn't be to fat inside the frame.
PRIZE ALERT!!! If you are interested, I am giving away this dry erase frame on my FB page Becky's Custom Papercrafting Creations. Just follow this link, like my FB page, and comment for your chance to win. I'll be drawing a winner on Friday October 5th
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my projects!
