CWC Home Decor Blog Hop Day 2!!!

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut’s Home Décor Blog Hop! Our Design Teams are so excited to bring you a two-day hop that focuses on projects for your home – that’s right no cards or scrapbook layouts in this hop!

This is the second stop on today's hop...You should have arrived here from visiting Melin at Paper Crafting World at the beginning of the hop.

Hello, Becky here again. Yesterday I showed you a project for a little boy, if you happened to miss it you can check it out HERE. Today I want to share with you a little project I made for my cousin's little girl.

My cousin Kelly-Ann bought some 5x7 frames from Ikea and asked me to make something sweet for her new baby daughter Madalyn's room.  She wanted me to incorporate the colors pink, green and brown, but she left the rest up to me. So here is what I came up with...

And here are some close ups of each of the panels...

The elephant is cut from Birthday Bash at 4". The bird and banner are also from Birthday Bash and cut at 2.25". I had to cut the bird with banner twice to get a long enough banner, but I left off the second bird and cut off one of the triangles.

The monkey is cut from Create a Critter at 3.5 The vines are also cut from Create a Critter; the curved vine was cut at 5" and the straight vine was also cut at 5".

The giraffe was cut from Create a Critter at 6.5". I fussy cut the glittery clouds from some patterned paper I had in my stash and I added googly eyes to finish off each of the critters.

Once I was all done I sent these sweet little critters off to my cousin and she got them framed and hung up on the wall. She emailed me this photo of what they look like up...I luvs them!

So there you have it...Thanks so much for stoping by :) I hope you enjoyed my projects this weekend!

I enjoy reading your kind comments :)

CWC Home Decor Blog Hop Day 1!!

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut’s Home Décor Blog Hop! Our Design Teams are so excited to bring you a two-day hop that focuses on projects for your home – that’s right no cards or scrapbook layouts in this hop!

You should have arrived here from visiting Michelle at Michelle's Crafty Creations.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for stopping by, Becky here with a sweet banner for a little boy's room.  I was given this photo of little Zakk's bedding and asked to make a name banner to coordinate.  This bedroom set is just so sweet, I immediately loved the colors and the precious animals and I had a great time making something special to go in his room.

I used Birthday Bash to create the arrow shaped flags on the banner and cut them at 6". The circles were cut from George and Basic Shapes at 3.25". The font comes from Birthday Bash and was cut at 2.25". All of the animals were cut at various sizes from Create a Critter, except the Elephant who came from Birthday Bash.

I strung the flags onto some 1 inch ribbon and embellished with some buttons. I gave all the critters googly eyes and I think they look super cute! To finish it off I added some little bits of ribbon between each of the flags to add a little whimsy!

Thanks for coming by :) I hope you will come by again tomorrow to see another project that I've got to share with you!

I enjoy reading your kind comments :)

Jungle Baby Canvas

I made these cute 6x6 canvas' for my friend Ruby and gave them to her as a baby shower gift. Her son Hudson has a jungle theme for his nursery. I hand drew and paper pieced the elephant, giraffe, aligator and birds and I used the Create A Critter cartridge on my Cricut for the hippo. I am very happy with how they turned out. I have started making some other canvas sets with my Create A Critter cartridge...I absolutely love it! I think i'm addicted ;)
