It's sketch debut day at
Sketchabilities! Here is the latest sketch challenge...
And my take on the sketch...
The misted chevrons in the background don't show up very well in the photo, but they are more visible in real life.
I turned the large circle from the sketch into a watermelon, with slices of different colors of red paper. I built it up on chipboard to give it some dimension.
Supplies used: Patterned Papers-Sassafrass, Crate Paper, American Crafts, My Minds Eye; Cardstock-American Crafts; Washi tape-My Minds Eye; Flair-October Afternoon; Watermelon die-Lifestyle Crafts; Tab-American Crafts; Mist-Glimmer Mists; Stencil-Crafters Workshop; Letter Stickers-Basic Grey; Misc-corner, buttons, polka dot ribbon, embroidery floss.
I started and changed this layout 4 times! I had something TOTALLY different in mind when I started but after the 4th change I ended up with this. For some reason this sketch was quite a challenge for me. I haven't actually decided if I like the final product yet, but it is done, and maybe it will grown on me over time.
I would love it if you joined us in our challenge. Link up your project
HERE for your chance to win an awesome prize and to be featured on the Sketchabilities blog! You have until October 28th to play along.
