March Sketch Challenge at MCS

hello!  It's time to reveal the March Sketch at My Creative Sketches!

First, here is my layout. I used the fun, bright and colorful WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY collection from FANCY PANTS DESIGNS.

And here is this month's sketch. I'm not sure why, but this one had me stumped for quite some time, but in the end I am happy with how my layout came together.

Here are a few close ups of the details...

Rather than the little banner below the photo as the sketch suggested, I wrapped twine around the bottom of the photo and put the title there in place of the flags.

I would love to see your interpretation of the sketch!  Come play along at My Creative Sketches for your chance at this fabulous prize!  Click HERE for details and inspiration from the rest of the design team!

Thanks for stopping by!
I love to read your kind comments!

Washi Bows

I love washi tape, it is such a craze right now, and there are so many fun things you can do with it. I made bows out of my washi tape for my post at the Scrapy Land Blog. If you want to find out how to make these awesome bows just check out the post here! We've even got a video to show you just how easy it is.

Enjoy!

My Creative Sketches: November Sketch

It's sketch reveal day at My Creative Sketches!!! Here is the fun new sketch for this months challenge...

I went totally outside my comfort zone for this sketch and decided to do something different.

I'm loving washi tapes and I've seen so many cool layouts with them lately. Instead of using using papers for this layout I just used a mish mash of a bunch of different tapes!

I still don't know if I'm 100% happy with my final product but I AM happy with the fact that I tried something new.

I must appologize for the quality of the photos, it was a really crummy day when I took them and even with editing this is the best I could get. The base cardstock is actually white although I'm not so sure it reads that way in the photos.

I would love it if you played along with our sketch this month. I challenge you to follow my lead and step out of your comfort zone. Try a technique you've been admiring! Link your layout here by December 14th for your chance to win an amazing prize and to be featured on the blog!

Have a great weekend!
