Welcome to the World
I've got a new layout to share today using the new AS YOU WISH collection from Fancy Pants Designs.
As soon as I saw this paper with the huge world map on it I knew exactly what I wanted to do! A different take on a layout for a new baby.
I kept the layout pretty simple so that you could still see a lot of the map.
I added a little bit of lace to a sticker to add some texture and dimension and layered it with some flare and a heart I punched out of the new GOLD FOIL paper.
A Silhouette cut for a title with another little gold heart inside the 'O'.
And I finished the layout off with some twine, lace, tabs and a few more gold hearts.
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
I love to read your kind comments.

Oh the things you say @ 2
Have you had a chance to play with the Fancy Pants Designs Silhouette cut files? They are so fun! I played around with one on my latest layout. To see all the available files you can check them out HERE.
I combined the cut file with fun products from the Memories Captured Collection.
In the speech bubbles I added some of the funny things my little man says at 2 years old.
Thanks for dropping by,
~Becky

New at the Nook!
Happy Monday!!
Today is my first post as part of the Scrapping Nook Design Team and I get to share with you our new monthly Sketch Challenge! A new sketch with be posted on the first Monday of each month so check back regularly. If you just happened across this post today, pleas head over to the Scrapping Nook blog to see how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch.
Before I share the sketch with you, here is my take on it. I love this photo of my daughter kissing my pregnant belly. She was 8 years old at the time, and you can see by the look on her face she was uncomfortable doing it! ;)
Here is the fun sketch that we get to play along with this month.
I've got some close ups to better show off the details...
I made a Polaroid frame on my Silhouette. I took a basic frame and welded the word 'family' to it. The 'new arrival' arrow was also cut from the silhouette.
I cut a strip of hearts out of vellum on the silhouette as well. I used the negative space as a layer under my photo, and I used the hearts as embellishments throughout the layout.
I rubbed some pink ink on my craft mat and spritzed it with water. I then loaded a paint brush up with the inky water and flicked it on my page...no mist required!
So that is it for me today. I hope you will join us and play along with our challenge for your chance to win 'Nook Prize!!'
