Bella Blvd Creative Team hopeful!

As I may have mentioned a time or two before, Bella Blvd is one of my FAVORITE scrapbooking brands! (Hi Stephanie and Laura!!!!)

Last year I applied to be on their Creative Team but unfortunately I wasn't chosen. This year I am throwing my hat in the ring again and keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't want to share my projects that I've included in my application just yet so I thought I would remind you what I submitted last year.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll cross your fingers (and toes) along with me!

October Creative Kit BONUS

Hello friends!

I got to go to a weekend crop just after my kit arrived which was perfect timing to hunker down and focus on getting my projects done.

I was having so much fun with the October Creative kit from My Creative Scrapbook that I even had time to make two cards after I was done with my layouts!

BONUS!!!

so...here they are...

I was pretty happy with how this card turned out. I gave myself a big pat on the back for figuring out how to use the big question mark card that is in the kit.

I used pop dots to create the dimension under the question mark.

I love that the little foxes are peeking out. My favorite is the little face peeking out the dot at the bottom of the question mark.

The tiny alpha stickers worked perfectly to create the sentiment on the card.

My second card is sweet and simple, but I wanted to feature the super cute paper with all the forest critters on it!

It is nice and thin, not too many dimensional objects so it is a great card for sending in the mail.

So there you have it...

To see what the rest of the DT gals created with their kits make sure you check out the GALLERY! Lots of amazing inspiration to be seen there.
And of course if you are interested in subscription info for My Creative Scrapbook kits you can find it all here.
Have a great day

Pretty Little Studio and Twinery Blog Hop Day 1!!

Hello Friends!!!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Blog Hop between Pretty Little Studio and the Twinery!

You should have found your way here from Amy Crockett's blog Scrappin Mommy, but if you just happened to come along this post today and you'd like to start hopping from the beginning then just head on over to The Twinery's blog where they are kicking things off!

I'm already a huge fan of The Twinery and use their twine all the time, so when I found out we were going to do a hop with them I was thrilled.

I am usually pretty simple with how I use my twine, tying bows etc. but for this hop I wanted to be a little more creative (on one card at least)

Here are the cards I made to share with you today.

This card was fun to make but it sure took a long time for me to do all that stitching!

I just used one of the awesome title diecuts from the Marigold collection. I used a paper piercer to poke all the holes in the diecut first and then used the colors of twine that matched the colors in the die to stitch through the middle of each letter.

The colors of twine in the word are: Marigold, Buttercream, Seaweed, Caribbean, and Slate.

I kept my second card a little more simple and let the beautiful Marigold Collection from Pretty Little Studio shine. I just love the colors! They are so warm and bright.

I layered a Silhouette cut with a gold foil sticker to create the sentiment and then tied a few layers of Buttercream twine around the card and finished it with a big bow to create some texture.

Did you know that this hop comes with PRIZES!!!

I played around a bit with the Collecting Moments collection from Fancy Pants Designs and made a few cards.

I'm loving the new large tags that come in the collections! They are so great for layering.

Park Bench Cards

Hello Friends!

I'm sharing some fun cards today that I made with the Park Bench Collection from Fancy Pants Designs.

I just love this collection! The colors are so fun and there are such great patterns.

I made a fun birthday card with a pocket on the front perfect for slipping in a little giftcard!

Oh, I just realized the yellow pocket on the front of this card is from the Down by the Shore Collection from Fancy Pants Designs! It's great a lot of the collections and products coordinate for even more options!!!

My second card could work for many different occasions. You could give it to a parent, child, spouse or friend.

I punched out some little clouds from the white corrugated paper. I love how easy it is to use punches and diecuts on this paper. It give such great texture and dimension to any project.

The little flag says 'you are my sunshine' so I used a sunshine die to make a sun out of the Park Bench papers.

I finished off the card with some stickers and buttons from the collection.

That's all for me today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Growing in Unity Day 1

Happy Monday Friends!

To say that I am excited to be a Growing in Unity gal is week would be an absolute understatement!!! For those of you who are regulars to my blog you know I am a HUGE Unity fan so getting to play with my large collection of Unity Stamps this week is going to be awesome :)

I'm starting off the week with a two-for. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make a Baby Boy card or a Baby Girl card with this adorable Ark stamp so I ended up making both.

I have had this Itty Bitty set called Two by Two for quite a while but I hadn't got around to using it yet so it felt good to get it inked up.

The sentiment that comes with the Ark image didn't really suit my card so I used a different one from the July 2010 Kit of the Month 'Happily Ever After'

PRIZE TIME!! 2 CHANCES TO WIN!!!
I'm giving away a little blog candy! I have a Leopard Print embossing folder from Darice and the Memories 6x6 paper pad from Teresa Collins to give away to 1 lucky friend who comments on my blog this week!

and Unity is generously giving away 2 Itty Bitties of your choice to a commenter on my blog this week. So make sure you stop by daily and leave a comment for more chances to win!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Reading your kind comments makes my day :)
until tomorrow,
~Becky

SOUS card sketch: Sept 19-Oct 2

Hello friends!

Today is another card sketch reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches. This sketch comes to us from the oh so talented Leah Schaeffer.
and here is my take on the sketch

I cut a few of the patterns in the Prima Almanac collection into strips for the background. I wanted to keep this card neutral so I only used kraft, white and black. I layered a real doily with a stamped doily. I love the look of white embossing powder on kraft paper. I added the chipboard bird that my dear friend Katie gave me from her stash (I love the embossing on it), and the sentiment from Unity Stamps which I thought went really nicely with the bird.

Supplies used: Patterned Papers-Prima;  Cardstock-Stampin Up; Doily Stamp-October Afternoon; Sentiment stamp-Unity Stamp Co; Embossing Powder-American Crafts; Doily-My Little Yellow Bicycle; Chipboard bird-Michaels; Button-My Minds Eye; Misc-hemp string, lace ribbon, embroidery floss.

This sketch challenge is up for the next two weeks. I hope you will play along and link up your card at SOUS for a chance to be featured in our Top 3!

Have a great day
~Becky
