Color Us Lucky: Turquoise/Lime Challenge

It's week 3 of Color Us Lucky month on the Scrapy Land blog.

 

This week, Amber has given us a challenge to play with Turquoise and Lime!!!

 

Turquoise, Aqua, Teal...is there a difference? I can never tell, I think I mix these colors up all the time!

 

Anyways, I had fun using my new Greeting Farm stamp and these bright colors on my card today.

Color Us Lucky: Navy/Yellow/Grey Challenge

Washi Bows

I love washi tape, it is such a craze right now, and there are so many fun things you can do with it. I made bows out of my washi tape for my post at the Scrapy Land Blog. Here in Canada Thanksgiving has already come and gone, but our friends to the south will be celebrating their thanksgiving this week. Friends with Flair Friday

Happy Friday friends! Are you as glad the weekend is here as I am?

 

I have three cards to share with you today. I originally made them for my DT at Scrapy Land and they were posted on the SL blog, but I haven't shared them here yet.

 

So anyways, I decided to share them today because all three cards have sentiments from Unity Stamps (my FAVE!) and today is Friends with Flair Friday at Unity

 

Don't you just love it when you find a product that you can get multiple uses out of? More bang for your buck shall we say?! Well this little 2x2 sunshine die from Lifestyle Crafts/Quickuts is just that!

I have created three DIFFERENT projects to share with you using this die.

 

Firstly, I used the die as a center to this flower... 

 

then I used it as a graphic element and framed the number on this little boy's birthday card...

 

And finally, I used it as it was intended...as a SUN!

Maritime Dies by Lifestyle Crafts

My first assignment as part of the Scrapy Land Fab Four was to create with some of the dies from Lifestyle Crafts/Quickutz new Maritime release. These fun dies were divided up between all of us gals. I got the cute little 2x2 whale and the 4x4 compass.

Lets start with the cute little whale...

I printed the sentiment on my computer since I didn't have a stamp that was appropriate.

I added some bling for water drops above the spray and a googly eye for fun! I love googly eyes :)

Supplies used: Pattern papers: Sassafrass, Bo Bunny, Chatterbox; Cardstock: Bazzill; Whale Die: Lifestyle Crafts/Quickutz; Heart Punch: Stampin Up; Corner rounder: EK Success; Twine: Devine Twine; Misc-button, googly eye, bling, embroidery floss, photo corners.

For my second card I decided to not to go with a water theme. I thought it might be fun for the compass to show a loved one the way home.

 Here are a few tips about how I put this card together: I cut out a circle with my Spellbinders to mat behind the compass. The heart shows the direction for a loved one to go. I added a bit of distress ink to the white letters to dull them down a bit so they fit more easily with the shabby look of the card. The photo corners were originally white so I colored them with a E31 Copic marker to change them to match the card.

Supplies used: Patterned papers: Bo Bunny, Simple Stories; Tags: Girls Paperie; Compass Die: Lifestyle Crafts/Quickutz; Circle Die: Spellbinders. Heart Punch: Stampin Up; Misc: hemp twine, photo corners.

What a big week for me! Today I am excited to announce that I have been selected to be one of the Fab Four at Scrapy Land!
