Baby Girl Gift Tag

I had a baby shower to go to this past weekend for my friend sweet baby Harper.

I've really been getting into making the wrapping for gifts really special. I think it is so nice to get something that is presented in a unique and personal way.

I started with this fun kraft wrapping paper I got from Target. I love the little white dots on it!

Then I added a big doily and wrapped the whole package with bakers twine.

I made a special tag with the Bundle of Joy collection from Echo Park and finished it off with some sweet lace before tying it to the package with a big twine bow.

I think Harper and her Mommy really liked it (and the gift inside too)

Here is my take on the sketch...

Here is the sketch we are playing along with...

and a few close ups of the details of my layout.

I used last years You and Me collection from Elle's Studio. I hardly ever seem to scrapbook layouts of my hunny or myself so this was really fun!

If you link up your layout here by March 14th you have a chance to be featured on the My Creative Sketches blog and win this fabulous prize!!!

I look forward to seeing your creations...

Welcome to the World

I've got a new layout to share today using the new AS YOU WISH collection from Fancy Pants Designs.

As soon as I saw this paper with the huge world map on it I knew exactly what I wanted to do! A different take on a layout for a new baby.

I kept the layout pretty simple so that you could still see a lot of the map.

I added a little bit of lace to a sticker to add some texture and dimension and layered it with some flare and a heart I punched out of the new GOLD FOIL paper.

A Silhouette cut for a title with another little gold heart inside the 'O'.

And I finished the layout off with some twine, lace, tabs and a few more gold hearts.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
I love to read your kind comments.

Something pretty...

I heading out to visit with a friend tomorrow who has been going through a rough time. I wanted to let her know that she is in my thoughts and that I am sending good vibes and thinking of her always so I made a special gift.

Since it is a special gift it needed special packaging.

I used the Happy Go Lucky collection from Fancy Pants Designs to create a pretty tag.

I layered it on top of a doily and tied it on with some fun bakers twine.

I hope she likes it.

Minute to Win It

I know that not every project will be  masterpiece, but I still hate it when a project doesn't come together like you had planned...That is what happened with this layout.

I mean, it's all right, it's just not....what I wanted...you know what I mean?

Anyways, we played Minute to Win It games at my daughter's 11th birthday party so I knew right away that the clock paper from the Collecting Moments collection would be perfect!

Golden Birthday

This past weekend my son celebrated his Golden Birthday...meaning he turned 3 on the 3rd! So of course I just HAD to go with a gold theme!

I used the new GOLD FOIL paper from Fancy Pants Designs to make him a super special party hat!

And of course we had gold wrapped presents and gold cupcake wrappers too.

I can't wait to use the As You Wish collection to scrapbook these photos with it's great gold and navy blue colors...stay tuned for that!

Happy Birthday Buddy

Eargloves

I think it is just the cutest thing when kids make up their own words for things! When my hunny brought these earmuffs home and told our little guy what they were he totally skipped over the muffs part and started calling them his eargloves! He just loves these things and wears them both inside and outside...they are a bit too big for him though so most of the time they end up looking more like cheekgloves! LOL

I used the beautiful winter collection from Fancy Pants Designs called Timber Grove to pull this layout together. All the snowflakes and warm cozy imagery were perfect for it.
