Wedding card and Fancy Pants Designs CHA sneak peaks!

Hello friends!

I must admit I've been a bit neglectful of my blog recently, I guess the summer days just get away from me.

Anyways, today I have a sweet wedding card to share with you. A friend asked me to make this special card for a wedding she was attending. Originally when she mentioned the color scheme to me I was a bit stumped, but then I realized that the colors she was looking for were all in the Trend Setter collection from Fancy Pants Designs!!!

If you leave out the bright red and the dark navy from the collection, the remaining colors are quite soft and pretty and worked perfectly for a wedding card!

She also asked for there to be owls on the card so I cut these cute little lovebirds (Design ID 38374) out on my Silhouette.

I layered the owls with doilies and lace trim to give the card a romantic feel and of course just HAD to add some hearts and flowers!!!

...

Now I have a little sneak peak to share with you of the new collections that Fancy Pants Designs will be debuting at this summers CHA in Vegas! I've never been lucky enough to attend CHA but this is the first year that I will have projects displayed at the show! I hope you'll stop by the FPD booth and check them out!

First up we have the awesome Collecting Moments collection! I love the navy blue in this line and I am super excited about the new products from Fancy Pants Designs like the larger tags and ticket rolls! You can check out more details of this collection here

Next we have the adorable Happy Go Lucky Collection. This one is so fun! I am loving the little bits in the ephemera pack! You can check out more details of this collection here

Life's Little Adventures

Hi Friends!

I want to share a quick layout I whipped up using the Trend Setter collection from Fancy Pants Designs.

I just love these photos of my Grandma from a long time ago! I've wanted to get them scrapped for quite some time so I'm glad I've finally done it.

I white washed over the manilla coloured stencil to tone down the cream color a bit. I layered different papers under the stencil to create my title.

I finished off the layout with a bunch of fun embellishments from the collection; buttons, tags, frames, ephemera and stickers. I just love this line! so fun, and the colors are awesome :)

Anyways, that is all for today...

My Creative Sketches: May Sketch Challenge

Oh, I just love getting a new sketch to play with and this month's sketch from MCS is no exception! It was super fun to play with and I'm loving how my layout came together...

this is the sketch we're playing along with this month...isn't it great!!!!

I used the Trend Setter collection from Fancy Pants Designs for my whole layout. I just love this collection! It is so fresh and fun and funky, it was just the perfect thing to use with these funny photos of my DD.

The title comes from the Brag Pad and worked perfectly!

I thought that if I placed the banner like it was in the sketch that it might make my layout look to cluttered so I moved it up to to top right corner. I put a circle around the number 10 on the paper because that is how old my daughter is.

I die cut some stars out of the coral and mint corrugated papers from the collection. I love the look of them, they give great texture.

I'm just loving this sticker a girl SHOULD be classy and fabulous! It's like it was made for this layout.

Anyways, that's it for me. Make sure you stop by the MCS blog to see what the rest of the DT did with this sketch as well as to check out the details of the sketch challenge and the awesome prize you could win for participating. I hope you'll play along :) Deadline is June 14th so you have lots of time!

Thanks for stopping by today!
