Today I would like to share one of the layouts that I created with the August Creative
kit:
As you can see I used a splatter technique on the white paper on this layout, but I did it WITHOUT using mists or sprays.
Here's how I did it:
1. I used my non stick craft mat and rubbed my desired color of ink pad directly onto it.
2. I sprayed a mist of water onto the ink to get it wet.
3. I then loaded up a paintbrush with the inky water and flicked it onto my paper.
4. I repeated these same steps with a few more colours to get the look you see above.
Easy right?!?
This is a great tip for saving some money and not having to purchase a bunch of sprays if you already have ink pads, which I think most papercrafters already do!
Now here are a few close ups of my layout...
I layered items cut from the patterned papers included in the kit, die cuts and letter stickers to create my title block.
The rainbow strip across the top of my layout is a fun border sticker!
There are so many fun die cuts and sentiment stickers in this kit! It makes it so easy to pull a layout together.
I used some tags to create a place for my journaling.
Make sure you come on back to my blog the rest of the week to see what else I've done with my August Creative Kit!!!
